The nursery!

So, the nursery is officially done. Well, minus a few things. And lots of gifts need to be put away. But -- here for your viewing pleasure!

First, some of the ADORABLE dresses we've received, air drying. So cute! I love little pink clothes :)

OK, so here's the room. The lighting may not have been great, but ahh well. It is what it is!

The theme of the room is really Shabby Chic beach. It all was inspired from the lovely baby bedding set that I bought from Shabby Chic. So it's soft pinks, soft colors, delicate, and refreshing.

This is the view of the room as you walk in. The bassinet (courtesy of my wonderful SFAMS!) will end up in our room, obviously :)

I felt like we needed a rug in the room to break it up (it's quite a large room). I didn't want a standard rectangular rug, and man it is hard to find a circular or other shaped rug that isn't obnoxious or tacky. Thank god for e-bay! I found this little gem, a Pottery Barn Kids rug, and it was quite reasonably priced. I think it works wonders for the room!

And that's Chase just hanging out on it :)

This is the mural painted on one wall. Isn't it precious?? I love it. I can literally just hang out in the room and I feel like I'm on vacation.

On the wall right next to it, the beach fun continues! Here is a little girl building a sand castle. Love!

Little crib shot! Oh, and her name above it. It's Maya :)

Excuse the millions of things in her crib. Some of the many gifts that need to be put away.

The little bookshelf that we hung up on the wall. It used to be steppie's, but it's perfect in this room!

The chandelier in her room. This used to be fully blue (when it was steppie's room), so I bought some pink shades to make it more girly. It is so wonderful to turn the lights on in the room now. This pink glow emanates from the center of the room and it's just magical!

And just another final shot!

I love the nursery. Everytime I walk by I just peek my little head in :) Makes mama happy.
