Random going-ons

It's been a little break from blogger-land, but here, I'm back. It's been a busy week and I feel like I didn't have much to say, other than the commenting on the roller-coaster with MIL. I really won't go into that, because I've kind of had my fill (as I assume you have), so we'll wait until we get hungry again. Yes?

I figure I'll just cover some recent things of note.

Garden. Our veggie garden is going off! Take a look at these beautiful suckers.

The cucumbers are insane. The tomatoes are so delicious, that you cannot imagine. The difference in taste between a store-bought tomato and a home grown one is tremendous. We also have a lot of butter lettuce growing, perfect for a completely organic, home grown salad!

So delicious, and oh, it feels so good to eat fresh. Aahhhh.

We gave our rockin neighbors next door some fresh veggies, and they reciprocated with a plate of the most beautiful home grown figs. Do you love figs? I absolutely do, so was thrilled with the beauty of this.

House. We've done a lot in the past few weekends. Let's start with the closets. I'm only showing you the closet in our bedroom, but we also did the closet in the baby's room, in steppie's room upstairs, the little extra closet upstairs that is serving for storage, and a whole system for the garage (which H loves).

The entrance. To the right, is my side, and to the left, is H's side. We need to get some sort of cover to the entrance of the closet, since we removed the ugly old-school door that was there before. In honesty, we don't mind it exposed like this, but if I find something I like, I'm open to considering it.

H's side (to the left)
And mine, to the right.

Ahhh, it's amazing how wonderful organization is!!

Steppie's room. We moved her upstairs since her room (which is right next to ours) will be for the baby. Her new room is a lot smaller, so in order to make it special, we had a painter come and paint it. Look how amazing this is!!

And here is little steppie, hanging out under a tree.

Baby room! The work has started. The crib and dresser were delivered today. We have started with the window coverings, but are not done yet. We also have to reupholster the glider, get a bedding set for the twin bed, and replace the blue shades with pink ones (steppie was really into blue). The painter that did steppie's room will be coming back to do some more stuff in here too. The room is a beach theme.

The crib with my most fabulous Shabby Chic bedding set! Me loves...

Master bedroom. We put curtains in here today! I am so happy to finally not have bare windows, after over a year!

And there you have it!

It's all so beautiful!! So soft and pretty, and organized!

After I had fresh from my garden cucumbers I couldn't eat them from a store for a year! Of course that was out here in Texas, once I moved back to Cali and had the farmer's markets available I got right back into eating them.
